Outback Research Presentation
Matt Bron from Tourism Queensland presented the results of a recent research project that has provided our region with invaluable information regarding the planning and motivational habits of Queensland's Outback market. The research received responses from over 450 consumers who travelled throughout the Outback and provided a great insight into consumer needs, expectations and experiences. Vicki from QTIC delivered a presentation containing important information on the recently announced TQUAL Accreditation process
EC3 Global Outback Experiences Development Strategy Presentation
Mark Olsen from EC3 Global presented the results of the Outback Tourism Experiences Development Strategy. This project was facilitated by consultants EC3 Global in order to identify 'hero experiences' and to assist in clarifying the key messages for Outback operators to use in consumer focused marketing communications.
Outback TOP Presentation
David Morgans from Tourism Queensland presented the recently completed Outback Tourism Opportunity Plan (TOP) and explain the direction for sustainable development of tourism in Queensland's Outback, Gulf and Western Downs over the next 5 to 10 years. The TOP has identified new and upgraded tourism product that meets future visitor expectations and demands as well as identifying the need for new infrastructure investment. The draft TOP will be released to the industry for consultation shortly.
