What is Partnership Advertising?
Requirements to Access TQ Media Rate
Partnership advertising involves co-operation between operators and Tourism Queensland, where the advertising dollar is extended by access to media rates negotiated by Tourism Queensland. This is known as the TQ media rate. These rates vary depending on the project, target market and advertising medium and in general provide considerable savings.
For full terms and conditions, please refer to the Advertiser's Acceptance Policy.
When booking press and magazine advertisements at the TQ media rate, it is a requirement that the Western Downs banner is incorporated into the advertisement creative in accordance with the size guidelines (refer to Creative Toolbox). Please note that the TQ media rate is not available for print advertisements smaller than 10cm x 2 columns.
Tourism Queensland can offer a TQ rate for television advertising and also produce the commercial using the 'donut' format. This is where vision from the Western Downs brand commercial appears at the beginning and end of the commercial while footage of the featured product is inserted into the middle.
Partners may also be able to access the TQ media rate for their radio advertising if they include the following in their commercial:
Southern Downs Tourist Association Inc members are encouraged to consistently use the creative elements in all forms of their promotional activities, including web site advertising. Web Advertising will be considered for the TQ media rate when it forms part of a larger promotion or advertising campaign involving mainstream media.
Make the most of the on-going marketing campaign undertaken by Tourism Queensland and Southern Downs Tourist Association Inc by incorporating the Western Downs branding in your marketing activities. A simple way is to feature the logo and design elements on such items as:
