ATDW on Q Special Bulletin - ATDW iPhone Application


Your ATDW listing is now within reach of Australia’s iPhone users!

Tourism Queensland has developed an iPhone application (app) that lets consumers search and explore your tourism product using real-time maps and overlay tools.

The iPhone app enables a user to search for all ATDW categories - accommodation, attractions, tours, hire, transport and events within Queensland and even search for Queensland product from wherever they are in the world! For example, if you've located an attraction in Cairns on the map, and want to search for the nearest hotel or transport provider, the iPhone app can overlay these results.

The Queensland Holidays iPhone app is free and will connect millions of global iPhone users with Queensland and help visitors plan their holidays using maps, detailed information and direct links. Holidaymakers will never be short of ideas on where to go, what to do or where to stay - and they’ll be able to connect with you directly.

The iPhone app also highlights several top 10 lists of the most popular Queensland holiday products. These lists are regularly, automatically updated based on the most popular viewed products in Queensland.

There are more than 16 million iPhone users globally, allowing the Queensland tourism industry to tap into a unique, growing distribution channel. Tourism Queensland is the first state tourism organisation to develop such an app, which has already been downloaded over 3200 times from the Apple App store.
