Tourism Queensland organises targeted missions in market for Queensland product. These missions provide an official forum for Queensland product to meet directly with wholesalers, retail agents, airline management and media, maximising product exposure for a minimum cost.
Objectives of Queensland on Tour missions
To reach travel agents from key cities throughout the region, by offering a learning experience that will allow sales agents to:
- Gain overall destination awareness of Queensland and the enormous portfolio of high quality products available
- Raise the profile of Queensland’s tourism product suppliers through a fun and interactive program
- "Experience" the destination through the atmosphere gained at the event
Provide Queensland suppliers the opportunity to train agents on their products to:
- Increase sales to Queensland and to the individual participating supplier products
- Educate a large number of agents in market
- Meet and improve relationships with sales agents
- Increase the size of the Queensland agent database
- Encourage agents to meet and interact with Tourism Queensland and trade
To reach tour operator product managers throughout the region that will allow Queensland suppliers to:
- Grow business opportunities with key wholesale partners
