Tourism Queensland works at the cutting edge of digital technology and is proactive at looking at new technology platforms and channels to deliver and promote our products on.

Over the past ten years Internet users have changed the way they search and engage with content online and as a result Tourism Queensland have launched several Web 2.0 initiatives to assist with connecting with users on another level. Below is a list of current initiatives that Tourism Queensland have in market:

Youtube: The Queensland Youtube channel features signature destination videos and clips. Since February last year our Youtube channel has received nearly 50,000 viewings.

iTunes: Tourism Queensland has reached out to prospective travellers and introduced a unique way of experiencing Queensland through iTunes. Travel Podcasts have been developed to assist travellers in researching content about Queensland, including inside tips on where to eat, drink, play and stay.

Facebook: The establishment of a Queensland, Australia Facebook profile allows Tourism Queensland to have a social networking presence in an environment which gives users the opportunity to bring together content from other platforms to a central space and facilitates accessibility and interaction between members.

The Facebook profile provides Tourism Queensland with an innovative way of enticing prospective travellers into a Queensland holiday. The profile features special holiday deals, latest competitions and Queensland events.
