QTS - Steering Committee
Queensland’s Tourism Minister, the Honourable Desley Boyle, oversees a high level industry and government steering committee to guide the implementation of the Queensland Tourism Strategy (QTS).
The $48 million QTS is a 10-year commitment by the Beattie Government to secure the economic, environmental and social future of the state’s $18 billion tourism industry.
The Strategy is dedicated to building strong strategic partnerships between industry and government to help identify and deliver initiatives essential for future tourism growth.
The Minister has established the Committee to ensure the implementation of the QTS proceeds to plan.
The Committee will also nurture and develop partnerships that ensure projects are delivered successfully and within preset deadlines. The Committee will continue to monitor and assist in removing challenges to QTS initiative delivery
