QTS - Background


The $48 million Queensland Tourism Strategy (QTS) is the number one tourism priority for the State Government.

The Strategy is a long-term plan to secure the economic, social and environmental futures of Queensland's tourism industry.

Extensive planning and consultation has been undertaken to deliver an additional 11,000 more jobs, an increase in national overnight visitor market share to 29%, an increase in visitor spending to $21.6 billion; and a $12.5 billion tourism contribution to Gross State Product.
