If you take action to understand climate change issues and the potential risks, you will be prepared to address any negative impacts on your business and also to identify new opportunities to grow your business.

What risks do the impacts of climate change pose to your business operation?

Some of the questions you need to ask include:

  • If the average temperature rose by several degrees how would my business be impacted?
  • How would an increased incidence of adverse weather affect my business?
  • How would a consistent drop in rainfall affect my business?
  • How would my business cope with increasing energy costs?
  • How could we use renewable energy?
  • What's carbon foot-printing and how do I do it?
  • What does it mean to be carbon neutral and how can we achieve this?
  • What will the government regulations related to climate change be and where can I find out about them?
  • Will there be business assistance programs offered and how can I locate them?
