Cruise Shipping - Research

Cruise Passenger Research

Tourism Queensland commissioned ACNeilson to undertake cruise passenger research for the first time in early 2003. The primary objective of the research was to construct a profile of the average cruise ship passenger visiting Brisbane. The research also sought to provide an understanding of past cruise history, details of travel before and after the current cruise, along with activities, expenditure and opinions of Brisbane. This research has been extended to 2004 and beyond.

Cruise Visitation Statistics

Tourism Queensland began collecting visitation data for cruise ships calling at Queensland ports and anchorages in 2001.
