Australian Outback Spectacular
Opened in April 2006, the Australian Outback Spectacular is a permanent evening dinner show attraction presented by R.M.Williams. Filled with outback music, drama and action, it’s located on the Pacific Motorway next to Warner Bros. Movie World, just 20 minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise.
Extreme Hz0 Zone
Blackhole has opened at the new Extreme H20 Zone at Wet’n’Wild Water World. Blackhole, as the name suggests, features two enclosed slides that catapult riders into pitch black spirals of darkness until they hit the final splashdown. The Extreme H20 Zone offers thrill seekers the ultimate aquatic rush on king-sized slides never seen before in Australia.
Q1 Observation Deck
Q1 Observation Deck is located on Level 77 and 78 of Q1 Resort and Spa , the world’s tallest residential tower in Surfers Paradise. Visitors are now able to purchase a new Day/Night Pass to experience the 360 degree views during the day, then again after 6pm.
Conrad Jupiters
The $53.5 million refurbishment of Jupiters Casino is due for completion by November 2006. Highlights include a new restaurant, bar and function space and locating all casino and gaming operations to one floor.
Mantra Broadbeach on the Park
The Stella Resorts Group has unveiled its first Mantra property on the Gold Coast. Mantra Broadbeach on the Park offers one, two and three bedroom apartments, a heated pool, 25 metre lap pool, fully equipped gymnasium, steam room, sauna & spa and conference facilities.
Flowrider at Dreamworld
In June 2006, Dreamworld will launch Flowrider, Australia’s first self contained, flexible and safe surfing environment. This unique and interactive experience combines thrills and skills for the whole family providing a safe platform for novices and a challenging stage for competitive board riding enthusiasts to show off their skills.
Pegasus at Broadbeach
Gold Coast City Council has given approval for the twin tower Pegasus apartment and commercial development on a prominent highway site at Broadbeach. Meriton Apartments Pty Ltd will construct the two towers on more than 8600 square metres of land with frontages to the Gold Coast Highway, Surf Parade and Elizabeth Avenue.
