MARKETING
Our International Department exists to assist you in understanding, gaining access to, and making the most of the various international markets.
With 14 offices or representatives based in Queensland and overseas, Tourism Queensland’s functions are:
• To facilitate the promotion and marketing, domestically and internationally, of tourism to and within Queensland;
• To facilitate the development of the tourist and travel industry;
• To facilitate the making of tourism and travel arrangements;
• To facilitate the provision of tourism and travel information services; and
• To prepare a state tourism and industry strategic marketing plan in extensive consultation with the tourism industry, the general community and appropriate government departments.
Tourism Queensland’s staff work closely with the state’s regional tourism organisations, government agencies, the community, the tourism industry and travel trade partners to showcase Queensland as Australia's premier holiday destination.
By working with these different stakeholders to run familiarisations, training and networking events for the industry and its networks, and tourism marketing campaigns, Tourism Queensland is able to effectively raise awareness of Queensland tourism experiences and destinations.
