Additional Resources for VIC Managers

Welcome to our new section where we will share items that might be useful for VIC Managers.  These tools are recommendations, intended as supporting tools to the official VIC Signage Policy Resource Kit .  They are designed to be helpful tools, purely optional, and not an accreditation requirement.

If you have ideas that work well in your VIC and you are happy to share, contact Cassie Browning.

We'll keep adding resources to this page as they become available and let you know via i on Q when new items are added.

Example: Short Visitor Satisfaction Survey

Collecting visitor data is an essential requirement of the Queensland VIC Signage Policy.  Surveys don't have to be long, they just need to ask the visitors the questions that you want to know the answers to.  It's the only way to get feedback on what your visitors want and need and the only way of finding out whether you are giving them what they want and meeting their needs.

We encourage you to have a look at your current survey form.  Are you getting useful information from the questions?  Is it information that will help you better understand the needs of your visitors and be better able to serve them?

The information may also be of interest to your stakeholders, especially your funding body.

This is an example of a short survey form .  Click on the image to see a larger version. It can be printed and cut in the middle to get a couple of copies from one A4 page.

Email Cassie Browning if you would like the word version so you can customise the questions to your needs.

If you'd like more information, there is a detailed version of this survey form on p25 of the VIC Signage Policy Resource Kit  with lots of useful information on why and how to collect visitor data.  The survey example here is an abbreviated version of a full length survey available in the Resource Kit.
