Cyclones, floods, bushfires, severe rain storms, dust storms and tsunamis can strike without warning and be devastating to communities.

TQ wants Queensland tourism businesses to have the appropriate plans in place so they can respond and recover quickly, and continue to employ their staff and welcome visitors to Queensland. Here’s how to weatherproof your business.

2. Read this

The Workbook shows you in step by step detail what you need to do to make sure your business is prepared for a weather related event. The Incident Response Plan gives you some handy tips and templates.

3. Attend a TQ "Weatherproof Your Business" Workshop

To date, workshops have been held in Townsville, Cairns, Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Mackay, Sunshine Coast and Yeppoon. Currently no workshops are open for registration. Dates and locations of workshops in 2010-11 will be advertised here and in Tourism on Q.
